not able to add activeMQ AS JMX app

i m using app manager and now i want to add activeMQ to jmx application of app manger but i can't do it .error is coming is service not runnig .this activeMQ is installed on a linux system .kindly u help me out .as from mant forums i can done to addactiveMQ on my windows. so provide me a good steps for this .remeber i m using ActiveMQ on linux system
