OK, so I'm trying to get SMTP over TLS working under Server Settings > Email Server > Advanced. If I select TLS and don't put in any credentials, I get this error --
SMTP Mail Server Certificate is not trusted by JVM, Need to import it in JVM.
Troubleshooting Steps
The Troubleshooting Steps link provided gives a Tomcat 404 error. This is using the most recent version (build 7000), but it didn't work in 6667 either. There is, apparently, NO documentation for how to configure the mail certificate within the JVM to get SMTP over TLS working. Considering that ADmanager routinely sends out newly created user credentials via e-mail
that include the user's password, this is a HUGE security issue. (While we're on it, WHY is the user's new randomly generated password displayed at the top of the page after the user is created?? Why isn't this optional?)
Seeing as how security has become more and more publicly visible, I'm not sure how ManageEngine has remained so apparently blind to it.
