No Computer is being managed by Desktop Central, but it is!

Hello,
 
  If I click on reports tab it says "No Computer is being managed by Desktop Central"; so, I click on 'add computers in Lan' and the only computer I have added is right there! Why does it say it is not?
  I have installed the agent, and added the credentials in ManageEngine (seemingly correctly).
  If I go to scan_systems->patch_scan and select the system and click on scan_system I get "Patch scan has been completed successfully" but at the same time last_scan_status: failed, and remarks:'Logon Failure: unknown username or bad password'
 
Notes: ManageEngine and agent are both on the same machine. I entered IP address of host[=agent] system rather than 127.0.0.1. For credentials I put
domain name: WORKGROUP [where this system is found]
network type: workgroup
admin user name: Owner (login user name on system)
password: [its password]
DNS suffix: [empty]


OS:  XP home SP3
