Newbie to SNMP
Hi there,
Looking at OpManager MSP at the moment and want to see if it can monitor McAfee AntiVirus products.
Alert Manager from McAfee can send SNMP traps out so I figure I can set something up but don't understand how SNMP works.
My questions:
Am I on the right track, and if so, what are the basic steps involved? (Don't worry about detail, it'd just be handy to know the very top level steps involved so I'll know if I'm heading in the right direction).
Can anyone point me to a good website/guide/book to learn how SNMP works and how I go about getting a network of PCs/Servers/Routers etc all talking SNMP to OpMan and also other apps like McAfee AV talking SNMP to OpMan too.
