With the normal apologies if these have been covered before. I scrolled down the forum and couldn't see them mentioned.
1) A number of the PCs that we are monitoring at client sites are switched off when their users go home. This means we get flooded with errors at 5.30pm each day. Is there a way of handling these differently to for example, a PC that we know should be on 24/7?
2) Is there a quick way to scan the network again without losing the currently logged settings. I installed the probes over the weekend and some of the PCs did not get scanned.
3) Can we add device types that are not able to be interrogated (or indeed switched off at the time of set up). Two examples, the first is for a DSL modem that is outside the internal network (so can't be scanned without using the external IP) but needs to be in the map, and secondly a dsl router that has modem/firewall combined, but does not have any snmp functionality available. At the moment they are defaulting to the PC icon.
4) Is there a way to add multiple monitors in one go to a device? Or indeed to add multiple monitors to multiple devices. i.e. I want to change a number of PCs so they show as running XP and set up the default cpu, disk, memory monitors on them all.
