New Install

Hi All

Newbie here - looking at using ServiceDesk Plus - have ConnectWise - too complex not premise based.

Downloaded trial version - installed on Server 2016 Standard with MSSQL installed running perfectly.

Tried to install ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus - numerous times - hangs - never gets there - had to uninstall and re-install and eventually it opened - voila.

Instead of just - as I want to run with an MSSQL Back end - ran the DB utility and again there were problems but eventually that seem to configure correctly - save - try to open ManageEngine - dead

Uninstall - re-install - hangs 

So tried to install on my brand new Win 11 Pro heavy duty laptop - just hands - starting server.

This is doing my head as I have zilch experience with ManageEngine - don't want to if it is a problem child.

As we are just trialing I doubt support are going to break a sweat to help - but I have tried.

Any pearls of wisdom. 
Not a IT newbie - am a programmer, IT builder - have installed on Windows machines since 1990 - yep long in the tooth. Got to be a simple problem.

We run a very secure environment but nothing showing stopping install.

Log file somewhere - help please.
