We currently have Netflow Analyzer 7 Professional running on a windows 2003 R2 SP2 server. A couple of days ago we discovered that Netflow had crashed. When you tried to access the Netlfow Analyzer web-console you got an "Apache Tomcat 404 error". Starting the Netlfow Analyzer console from the servers start menu shortcut caused the browser to hang and not display a window. The "ManageEngine Netflow Analyzer 7" service was still running on the server and we were able telnet to the Netflow web-server port 8080 on the server.
Restarting the "ManageEngine Netflow Analyzer 7" service on the server did not allow us to access the Netflow console either and a complete restart was needed in order to restart access to the Netflow webconsole.
When we were able to access the netflow console again all of the monitored devices and interfaces were lost in Netflow. The Netflow collector did pick up the devices again soon after as Netflow packets were still being sent to the server from the monitored network devices however the snmp communitys and historical data has been lost from Netflow. Also netflow no longer has any of our alert profiles or schedule reports setup in it.
I've been through the server event logs and there doesn't appear to be any relate errors or warnings associated with Netflow process or files on the server.
1) What would be possible cause for this complete crash?
2) Is it possible to restore the historical data, alert profiles and scheduled reports back into Netflow Analyzer?
