We have multiple reports set up to auto generate a wide array of data points. The issue we have is, that even though it works it is spamming the heck out of people. Also we require multiple reports to build a data point that we are looking for. Its simply data overload and at that point the data can be overlooked or ignored by the end user.
What we would like to do is query the MySQL DB to pull the required data directly into something like excel or share point. This way when the data is needed we can go to that location to see all relevant queries all in one central location that any one on our team may be able to access with out actually needing access to Desk Top Central.
What i was looking for was some examples or documentation laying out the scheme for this type of request that we can use or build onto.
Two examples of data points would be Disk Utilization and Up Time reports.
Is there documentation or FAQs concerning this type of transaction?
ETA: We are also looking at migrating away from MYSQL to SQL since we have that infrastructure and support in our organization. This also helps as share point and excel have built in support for SQL. So the original question should also include SQL and MYSQL.
Thank you
