Multiple sites for a single requester in SDP 7.5?

Multiple sites for a single requester in SDP 7.5?

We upgraded to SDP 7.5 upon its release a few weeks ago and really like the looks of the multi-site features, except for a couple of issues.

We are a centrally driven organization rather than a distributed organization. So, all of our Technicians are located centrally, but perform services for all of the various sites. So, rather than using sites for physical sites, we defined a site as a team offering services through SDP. Our IT Team, Web Development Team, HR Team, etc, all are "sites" within SDP -- allowing each to define its own SLAs, etc. This is great!

The challenge we're having is that users in our IT team are the only ones allowed to see requests from all sites. All other site members are restricted to their own sites. IT can close requests without difficulty. However, when any other team member tries to close a request, they're given the following error:

"The user belongs to a site other than you have access to. You cannot create a request for this user."

The request is created. The site is assigned to the team for which the Technician works and has access. All editing, etc, of the request is fine. They simply can not close the request.

Anyone use this feature similarly and / or have any ideas for a fix? If it is as simply as making the Requester a member of multiple sites, is there a way to do that?

Thanks for your ideas and suggestions!
Brad
