Multiple issues on config change/backup
I added 15 Cisco switches to the inventory yesterday, after much issues in getting the discovery process to work. Application would never actually initiate the discovery process. Eventually, I got all machines added in one by one.
I selected all machines and kicked off a "Back up". Then I selected all machines and kicked off a "Enable Change Detection". I left the Firefox browser window open overnight.
When I returned to my PC in the morning to see that Firefox 2.0.0.6 was eating up over a 1 million K of memory usage in the task manager and was bogging down my machine. After I killed the task and logged back in to the DeviceExpert URL, my "Inventory" tab either lists "Enabling Change Detection" and the spinning wheel image or a Red X and "Enable Change Detection[Rendering Exception]" on ALL devices.
I can't imagine that after 12 hours, "Enabling Change Detection" is still being performed. I am uncertain how to review any failure logs to find out what the "Rendering Exception" is trying to tell me.
