MS SQL Server 2008 Version not being properly detected

MS SQL Server 2008 Version not being properly detected

It would appear that MS SQL Server versions are no being properly detected.  We recently deployed some commercial software to a number of end users.  This software also installed MS SQL Server 2008 Express.

ServiceDesk is reporting the following:


The majority of the Express versions are not showing up as Express and its throwing off our licensing.  How do we resolve this issue?
