Hi Team!
I know how site-restriction works in ServiceDesk but wanna start this thread and hopefully I can get a smart "script-guru" to help me out with this.
Background:
A ServiceDesk installation.
That ServiceDesk installation have multiple sites.
That ServiceDesk installation have multiple techs in multiple sites.
That ServiceDesk installation have multiple support groups in multiple sites where they have techs.
Scenario:
Site 1 - One tech is working in site one. Site Stockholm. This tech has only been associated to site 1 and can only work on site one and it belonging support groups. This tech has been given a custom role with "All in associated sites" option.
Site 2. - One tech is working in site two. Site Gothenburg. This tech has only been associated to site 2 and can only work on site two and it belonging support groups. This tech has been given a custom role with "All in associated sites" option.
So If a request is send to Site 1 and end up in Stockholm and the technicians in Stockholm see that this request should not be here, it should be send to Site 2, Gothenburg instead, this is not possible for them to change, because they have only access/right to see "All in their associated sites".
(
Maybe both of these sites have another tech that have more access and can move the request, but it would be nice to have the option for the limited techs as well. We have a few scenarios where that would be very nice.)
For this company I'm trying to help that would like to have this option it's OK that the techs are divided into different sites in different support groups and they all know that there are other sites out there.
I'm thinking maybe a Request Custom Meny with a script that provide me the options to move this request to another site? Can this be done somehow?
Maybe it's a better way that is "Not by design"?
