Monitoring SQL with Named Pipes instead of 1433?

Monitoring SQL with Named Pipes instead of 1433?

I need to monitor a server that does not have TCP/IP enabled for SQL and I cannot enable it. Is it possible to monitor SQL functions through Named Pipes instead of TCP port 1433?
