We have experienced the situation where when we attempt to log into opManager, we realize that we cannot access the webserver for the application.  We usually reboot the host server to resolve this issue but the main issue is that we were had no way of knowing that there was an issue with op manager.  The service was running  and it is only an internal site so no .com monitoring. 

Do you have any recommendations for getting notified when the opmanager application fails?
