Monitoring MS SQL Server 2000
To monitor MS SQL server, you need to have the
msbase.jar,
mssqlserver.jar,
msutil.jar MS SQL files located in Applications Manager installation directory.
Please follow the procedure given below to install these JAR files and to monitor MS SQL server.
1. Download mssqlserver.tar file from http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/1/d/41d3e9c0-64d1-451e-947b-7a4cba273b2d/mssqlserver.tar
2.Extract the content from the tar file in your local machine. On extracting, you get another .tar file named msjdbc.tar. Extract this file also. Under the extracted files, you will see a <lib> directory which has the 3 required JAR files (msbase.jar, mssqlserver.jar, and msutil.jar).
3. In the Applications Manager client, click Admin tab.
4. Click File Uploads.
5. Browse for the JAR files in your local machine and upload each one of them. On uploading, the files are placed under <Applications Manager Home>/lib/ext.
6. Now stop and re-start the Applications Manager server.
7. Proceed to add and monitor a new MS SQL monitor.
