Monitoring Functionality with OpManager ?
I need to periodicaly check if various modules are still functional, for example if DNS translates a name into IP, if DHCP is indeed capable of returning an IP from pool, if the database server does answer to a specific query, if SMTP, POP3, IMAP still work, if I can query a specific Web server, etc., etc.
Can OpManager perform such functionality tests, as against status monitoring only? It is not about whether the corresponding services are up and such, but if the various queries return the expected answers.
