Monitoring and Notification Profile Issue

I have just reinstalled v7 and applied v6 license file. Build 7004. Below are 2 problems encountered.
1. Switchport notification. I wanted to be alerted only when vlan interfaces are having problem. I tried to deselect all ports and select on specific ports in the notification profile criteria. After saving, I discover that all the ports are automicatically checked again. I am not able to select and save specific ports in the notification profile assigned.
2. The functions of custom, vendor, and application monitoring exists in v6 are missing in v7. How can I create custom monitoring?
