Monitoring A Socket Listener
Hi, Brand new user. I'm managing several Tomcat, WAS and MySQL servers perfectly fine. I want to take the next step and monitor a couple of processes that we have listening on various ports.
For example, there's a Java process listening to port 3500 on server1. I want to have a custom monitor that will open that port, send a formatted message and expect a specific response back. If that response comes back, everything is up. If the monitor can't open the port, or it gets an incorrect response back the process is considered down.
Can I do this with your product?
