When I got to ALERTS and add an alert profile I only have two options:

Compliance Alert

Custom Alert

I can track failed logins with compliance reporting, but I cannot easily track failed logins for real-time alerts.  The documentation shows that there should be an option for predefined alert criteria.  Like I said, this is missing in my instance.
