minor bug and a few suggestions
Don't know if these will still be an issue in the new build but thought i would mention them anyway, they have been brought up by a few of the operators here.
use of slashes in title
We put dates in the title when an engineer is visiting site, this however messes up the display in list view if you use slashes.
09/05/07pm = Monthly visit
appears as
09ቡባpm = Monthly visit
Not a huge problem as we simply use dashes now! 09-05-07
When you log calls using the Quick create - New Request area it sets the mode to be Web Form, would it be possible to select which mode it uses as default? Or perhaps even allow people to select more than just which mode and change other defaults? This would allow us to use this area for the most commonly logged calls and save even more time.
Under the Helpdesk - Request Default Values section it would also be handy to be able to set a default group as well.
Categories
When setting up categories there seems to be an issue with sub-categories using the same name. We use categories to describe the work that was needed for reporting purposes but also break things down from there. Two sub-categories with the same name causes display issues when creating new calls, duplicated items do not show.
Eg.
Warranty
- Server
- Desktop
- Laptop
Workshop
- Server
- Desktop
- Laptop
Had to be changed to
Warranty
- Server warranty
- Desktop Warranty
- Laptop warranty
Workshop
- Server workshop
- Desktop Workshop
- laptop workshop
So that it would display correctly, again only a minor thing really.
