I couldn't find information on how to migrate from one MSSQL server to another.
I was tasked with moving the server along with the MESD server to a new host and MSSQL server.
There was no option that allows me to migrate the data as described in the instructions.
I have tried to use the backup/restore GUI app from the command prompt to see if I can backup the database and restore it once I've switched servers.
The restore process has been going now for about 20 minutes, and not sure if it is actually restoring to the MSSQL server.
Is there better instructions that are more current that I can use for this process?
EDIT and Update:
I left the restore alone, and it failed.
I attempted to reconect to the old DB. It seemed successful, however the services refused to start.
I am now attempting to recover.
I have build 80279 of Desktop Central along with my last backup (this sunday)
I noticed that this is not in the desktopcentral archives:
http://archives.manageengine.com/desktop-central/I also thought perhaps I could recover by using an older version (80277) that is in the archives, and then applying the service pack for 80279 - however this also seems impossible as the hotfix no longer appears to be available.
As these options do not seem to be available to me, I'm relying on a VM backup performed by Symantec Backup exec and attempting to recover that way.
