Migrating from current HD Ticket System

Migrating from current HD Ticket System

We are currently running a simple help desk ticket and asset management system. It is web-based and uses an access back-end. The database is ~160Mb and I'd like to preserve the data. Is there a tool that can help with potentially migrating from our current Access based system? Is there a document that provides a listing of the fields contained within the ServiceDesk Plus database? What kind of database is this?
