Hi All,
We have introduced
64 bit installation binaries for NetFlow Analyzer base edition (Professional and Pro Plus) with our version 9 release. These binaries, available for both Windows and Linux, helps NetFlow Analyzer take advantage of the higher processing power available on 64 bit machines thus scaling up with better performance in high traffic environments.
Download the binaries from the below link:
http://www.manageengine.com/products/netflow/download.htmlTo migrate from your current 32 bit installation to 64 bit, follow the steps below:
NOTE:
i. The BUILD number of your current and new NetFlow Analyzer installation should be the same.
ii. You can find the BUILD number from the 'About' link on the top right corner of the product UI
iii. Cross platform migration is not supported (eg. From Windows to Linux and vice versa)
1. Ensure you are on BUILD 9000 or above and shut down NetFlow Analyzer service.
2. Backup the below directories \ files to a safe location. Note that these are 2 different directories but with the same name, and hence ensure you mark which one is which so as not to be confused when restoring.
i. Data folder from <NetFlow> home directory.
ii. Data folder from <NetFlow\Mysql> directory.
iii. AdventnetLicense.xml file from <NetFlow\lib> directory.
3. Install the 64 bit binary of the same NetFlow Analyzer BUILD on the 64 bit server and run the NetFlow Analyzer service once. You can download the 64 bit binaries from the below link:
http://www.manageengine.com/products/netflow/download.html4. Run the service once and shutdown the NetFlow Analyzer.
5. Restore the backed up folders to the new installation under the same location:
i. Data folder backed up from <NetFlow> home directory to <NetFlow> home directory.
ii. Data folder backed up from <NetFlow\Mysql> directory to <NetFlow\Mysql> directory.
6. Start the NetFlow Analyzer service and apply the license file from License Management page in the product GUI.
This will get your installation with current data and configurations to the 64 bit version. Feel free to email us at nfs '@' manageengine.com if you have any questions.
