Hello all,
we are currently migrating to a new Active Directory infrastructure (name included - now we have "abc.local" and tomorrow will be "efg.local").
Here are the steps we made on SD:
1. Add the new Active Directory on the SD configurations
2. Promote this new AD as public (this way the migrated users are abled to connect by choosing the correct domain)
Here are the steps we made on our infrastructure
1. We added the new domain
2. We migrated a current user from domain abc.local to efg.local (user, pc and all the permissions)
We then told a NORMAL user to log into ServiceDesk and give us a feedback.
He told us that he could connect to SD but as a new user (unable to see his tickets history and all)
We then told a technician user to log into ServiceDesk and give us a feedback.
He told us that he could connect to SD but as a new user (unable to see his tickets history and all). He even become a NORMAL user.
I think that all that I described above... is a normal.
My question is: how to migrate this users (maintaining profiles, permissions, history)? As for the technicians I modified directly their account (changing the Domain under Access Details) and it worked ... but I cannot do it for all +1000 users that I have within my company.
Thanks for your support.
Nicky
