Microsoft Updates - DC says missing, WSUS says not applicable

Hi there

I am using Desktop Central 8 (build 80018) and have a question regarding Microsoft updates. I have noticed it a few times that WSUS tells me that a particular computer is up to date but Desktop Central says that certain Microsoft updates are missing.

An example would be patch id 97886 (osc2010-kb2583935-fullfile-x86-glb.exe). I tried to install this update on several computers but it failed with the following error message: OfficeUpdateError: No product installed for contained patch

To me it sounds like WSUS was right and this update is not needed. But why does Desktop Central say it is missing?

This particular patch is just one example, I noticed this behaviour with other updates too.

I would appreciate if someone could explain this to me.
