Hello,
We are using ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus, Build 16000, on a Windows Server.
We repeatedly receive the following warning:
“WARNING: Cybersecurity/Antivirus Software Detected: Microsoft Defender”
We have already added the following directory to Microsoft Defender exclusions:
C:\Program Files\ManageEngine\ServiceDesk
We verified this using PowerShell, and the exclusion is present. Microsoft Defender and real-time protection remain enabled.
However, we continue to receive the warning emails.
Could anyone confirm whether this is a known issue in Build 16000? Is there a recommended configuration, patch, or workaround to prevent these warnings when the application directory is already excluded?
We would also appreciate guidance on the recommended exclusions for PostgreSQL, Java/JVM, and other ServiceDesk Plus components.
Thank you.
