I want to auto-merge email-requests with similar subjects.

In my case, the subjects of the emails begin with "NR-#123456# - some text". All requests that have the same beginning (including the numbers) should be automatically merged.

In the knowledge base I already found the custom function to merge similar requests, but I need to compare the number in the subject line to find the right requests to get merged. With the standard search criteria or search text I cannot search for variable text strings or numbers.

Any help on this would be great! Thank you all in advance!
