ManageEngine Password Sync Agent Will Not Start

Installed on our domain controller (Windows Server 2008 R2).  When attempting to start the service, we get an error indicating the "Time out has expired and the operation has not been completed".  Application log shows a system exception at Service.ZohoService.OnStart and at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.ServiceQueuedMainCallback.  When attempting to start the service manually, error indicates "The ManageEngine service on Local Computer started and then stopped".  Cannot find further information on this error.  Service has been uninstalled, server restarted, and reinstalled several times with no success.  Please advise.
