Mail Fetching not working from public folder using IMAP

Can someone help?
Does any one have mail fetching working from public folders in exchange 2003 using IMAP?
We have it setup and everything seems to be working and can see emails reach the public folder but they don't get removed and turned into requests?
Any ideas? :oops:
