I have a machine which was first added to Desktop Central under a different name, eg. name1 and has now been renamed to name2.

In SOM it would show up as name1 in the incorrect site location to where it really is.

To try to rectify this I attempted to add the machine using its current name, the AD scan found the machine and when I selected it and pressed ok the result showed as added, when I looked for the machine it was not in the SOM list.

The SOM list still showed the old name, name1, so I selected this and proceeded to remove the machine from the SOM, this it did without incident.

Tried once more to add the machine, name2, into the SOM, and although it keeps displaying "machine added successfully" it never shows up in the list.

If I try to add the old machine name, name1, it now correctly displays that it is not a valid machine name, it does not list under AD either.

Has anyone else had this problem berfore, and if so how did you fix the problem.
