Linux monitoring

I have OPmanager and it is up and running.
All seems OK, however I am having problems monitoring our Linux servers. I have modified the SSH access prams to be Command Prompt # and username and password as :
Here is a copy of what I get when I logon to my linux server maunally
login as: root
root@192.168.100.2's password:
Last login: Thu May 26 10:07:45 2005 from 192.168.100.67
[root@ESX1 root]#
When I add a resource monitor to the server, the test always fails. I have double checked the passwords and I cannot find a problem.
Any help would be apprecieated.
