Linux Memory Consumption and SNMP by OpManager

Linux Memory Consumption and SNMP by OpManager

Hi,

Linux (RHEL) would consume any amount of memory you allocate to the distro, but it only utilizes what it requires and 'cache' the rest of the memory.

OpManager on the other hand receives the SNMP detail from the Linux host and displays it as the Linux host is running out of memory where only the Linux machines consumed all memory and cached what it's not using.

This results in 'false' alarms etc.

Is this a RHEL mib taht i should update on the linux box or is this something I should be looking at in OpManager?

OpManager Build Number: 8810

Thanks.

Cheers.
