I'm trying to install it on an Ubuntu 12.04 box using the console and all I get when I run the file after applying the permissions is the following: 

and then it just dumps it back to the command line. 

Just wondering what else is needed beforehand for installation or if anyone else has had similar grief installing on a non-gui linux? The install guide isn't much help. In fact, the command given to set the permissions is incorrect in the text but you can see the correct command in the screengrab. 

If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Thanks.
