I have setup a windows PC as data collector. The machine is called "Log-Collector" 

And I want it to collect log files from a Ubuntu 10.04 server.

On the windows machine EventLog Analyzer is working correctly on port 8400.

So I added a Unix machine in the interface. Used the default port: 514.

And on the Ubuntu machine I configured rsyslog.conf

and on the bottom of the file I added:

*.* @Log-Collector

It adds the machine, it can ping the machine, but it doesn't collect any logs. 

The 2 machine's are connected over the internet but not on the same lan. They are not firewalled.
