Linking external databases / programs

I'm evaluating OpManager 6.0 for my company.
The tool looks pretty good but i couldn't find out if it's possible to
get external tools to work with OpManager.
We've got some self-coded Tools (PHP/MySQL, Lotus Notes) which held much information about our servers and clients.
So my question(s):
Is there something like a scripting interface for OpManager?
Is it possible to extend it with little effort (no big programming etc.)?
It would be possible to hack some scripts to sync the different databases with the one from OpManager but it's not a really good and clean solution. Do you have tried something like this before?
