Javascript enabled link/button does not execute
I have installed AdventNet ServiceDesk Plus 5. I can start the web application and click on every link and button without any problems.
The problem come when I click on a button/link which need some javascript code to be executed i.e. Javascript:NewWindow("some parameters") attached to the button/link.
I have installed the application on Windows 2003 Server and am using MS IExplorer 6.0.
I have eased the security setting on my IE Browser to LOW. I have a ALLOWED popup for this site (localhost) on the google IE toolbar. I have also set IE to allow execution of Script.
Whenever I check(tick) the "Show Friendly HTTP Error" option in IE (Tools->Internet Option---------- Advanced <tab> - "Show Friendly HTTP Error"),
the result is that upon clicking the javascript embeded button/links, they tend to replace my ServiceDesk home page with the link e.g
When I click on the AdventNet ServiceDesk ABOUT link, the following will be loaded on my IE browser with the following URL :
javascript:NewWindow('jsp/About.jsp','About','500','350','yes','center')
this page will be errored/ blank page with the following message:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for might have been removed or had its name changed.
. Please can anyone help me come to the bottom of this issue.
Suprisingly, the ADVENTNET ONLINE DEMO works fine on my computer
Regards,
Masomo
