Issues to be fixed in next hotfix

Hi Users,

As explained in an earlier forum post, we have formed a customer focused development team which will rapidly fix the issues in the product. We have planned to release regular hotfixes (currently once a month) fixing the critical issues. Hence we could assure our customers that issues in the product will be fixed at a faster rate. After couple of hotfixes we will also focus to deliver quicker enhancements (targeting productivity for customers). But enhancements will be taken up based on time availability.

Here is the list of issues to be fixed in the next hotfix (tentative by second week of March) :

1.Sorting of users / departments are not in the alphabetical order on assigning users to assets has been fixed.
2.'Location' field is not available in Workstation detail / edit page has been fixed.
3.When a request is edited, asset already associated to that request gets reset to empty is fixed .
4.If department with same name exists (across different sites), only one of the department will be shown when associating a department to a requester is fixed.
5.Requester name is set as non editable in request details page. For now other requester attributes (email, contact no) can be edited.
6.Start day of the month March 2008 is shown wrong in the Forward schedule of Change calendar has been fixed.
7.Change password tab is shown in the Personalize page even when AD authentication is enabled is fixed
8.PurchaseOrder id (internally generated unique id) is not maintained in order when the SDP is restarted. POID jumps by 300 on every restart of SDP service has been fixed.
9.'Notify the request owner if the task associated to a request is closed'. Earlier the notification will be sent to task owner. Now the notification will be triggered to request owner (technician for the request).
10.Issue in showing the Request Status in the request listview, if the status name is long has been fixed.
11.On changing the 'status' of the task from the task link in the email notification, a javascript error will be thrown. This has been fixed .
12.In request list view, html tags are shown in some requests on hovering mouse over request subject link is fixed
13.In Print preview of a Purchase Order, the 'Status' field is not shown has been fixed.
14.There is no print button in the Print preview of a Purchase order has been fixed.
15.The link through CloseRequestlink displays 'null' values on editing the contents in the CloseWorkOrder.jsp is fixed
16.Under Asset -> Non IT Assets, Column chooser is not working and on clicking the same there is no action has been fixed.
17.When a category assigned to a request is removed, and on spot edit of that request, the category which was assigned to this request is not fetched has been fixed.
18.During import of Requesters from AD, due to a quote in login name, status update to client got stopped, is fixed.
19.Code has been tuned a bit to handle memory efficiently. Still there are few memory issues which we are working at.

Also we are targeting to bring in enhanced Purchase Order module (which is in the final stage of integration). We render our thanks to Justin and Mark for their collaboration on this (and for their patience for more than an year).
