Hello,
I'm currently configuring a whitelist policy for Firefox extensions in Browser Security Plus. While trying to add certain accessibility testing extensions such as:
axe DevTools (ID: axe-devtools-browser@deque.com)
WCAG Contrast Checker (ID: wcagcontrastchecker@firefox-extension)
I receive the error message:
"Invalid characters found" or "No results found", and the extensions are not accepted in the whitelist field.
These extensions are valid and widely used in enterprise accessibility workflows. Firefox accepts extension IDs in this format (@vendor.com), and they work perfectly when installed manually.
Could you please clarify:
1. Does Browser Security Plus currently support Firefox extension IDs that contain the @ symbol?
2. If not, is there any workaround or plan to support this format?
3. Is it possible to whitelist such extensions using a GUID or in another format?
This functionality is important for maintaining security while allowing essential tools for development and accessibility compliance.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
