Is it time to upgrade or replace?
Last year we tested out the latest version of Opmanager at the time. It had too many issue for us to make the upgrade. At the time we decided to look into alternatives.
Now we have the funds and the decision needs to be made for us to either upgrade or replace. I would like to know if some of the issues we had have been fixed?
1) Can non-snmp enabled devices be added? We could not get them to add when we tested. We have a lot of devices (100+) we only want to monitor with pings. They do not support SNMP. No issues with 11.6
2) How out of date is the Java version?
3) Can we disable "features" we do not use? I do not want to see information or settings for options we have no interest in right now (ie NCM, IPAM, and APM). If I want to see ads I'll stick with SpiceWorks.
There were a few other things, but i think they have been fixed. The biggest show stopper was item 1.
Thanks
