Installing deviceExpert on Redhat 5.2 64-bit
Hi,
We are trying to install deviceexpert 5200 to evaluate the product, but it seems to have issues with either our java version or the fact that we are running 64bit.
Our release is:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.2 (Tikanga)
And Java:
java version "1.6.0_05"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode)
The installation fail to start, executing the file will only give us the output below:
InstallShield Wizard
Initializing InstallShield Wizard...
Searching for Java(tm) Virtual Machine...
.
Preparing Java(tm) Virtual Machine...
..................................
...................................
...................................
...................................
...................................
...................................
...................................
...................................
......
And then nothing, is there something vital we have missed, it installs fine on desktops here with 32-bit, and older java. So if you could point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
