Incident Templates - Adding tasks to work flow

We are using ServiceDesk 11.1 Build 11121 with MS SQL.  I noticed you can no longer simply add a task to a incident template work flow.  You have to add a task template, which is going cause a clutter of task templates that will need to be periodically cleaned up.  I am concerned that if I remove the template it will also be removed from the incident template.  I am not happy with this design change and see no value of managing in this manner for template work flows.
