Hi, does Service desk support status change matrix to limit status changes from any to any

I need to put limitation that status from OPEN can be changed only to WORK IN PROGRESS, and from WORK IN PROGRESS to RESOLVED or MORE INFO REQUIRED, is it supported? or is it planned to be implemented in next releases?
