INbound ports on clients

INbound ports on clients

hi,

I started working at a small company using Desktop Central.

They asked me to enable the Windows Firewall on the clients and especially the INbound connections should be restricted.  I tried finding which ports I need to open on the clients ( inbound -> from server to client), but I found a lot of contradicting information.

I did a quick netstat on the Win10 laptops and noticed only one connection to the Desktop Central server:

TCP  x.x.x.x:56128   desktopcentral-server:8027   ESTABLISHED

I suppose there's more to it than just create an inbound rule for port 8027?

They used it for software deployment, remote control and patching, but maybe for other things too, I'm not yet sure.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks,
Kris
