Improve L1/L2 network map demand raised by already under orders users

hi,

We have under purchase client raised the improve demand of OPM 's L2 network map function, content as below:

1、Scanning support for non-Cisco devices and automatically create topology

2、After auto-discovery scan, the topology map require to add edit, save and “save as” feature

3、Scan device through SNMP communications Instead of using the ping command to auto-discovery scan (P.S. Adding device objects can automatic identification Network device and workstation [PC])

4、Requires to support NDP, NTDP, STP protocols to generate L1/L2 network map

Note: Cause for OPM now only support CDP, LLDP, IPROUTE, FDB and ARP protocols to generate topology, but so many domestic manufacturers with the NDP, STP protocols to generate topology (such as HUAWEI), so users requires OPM to support NDP, NTDP, STP protocols to generate L1/L2 network map.

5、Require adding Incremental add / scan feature in Topology.
For example: 100 devices have been scanned, edit, save the correct topology (e.g.: Map A), basic on the Map A then continues to scanning additional 100 new devices, generate another new topology (for example: Map B, Map B include Map A all devices and the new additional 100 devices).
P.S. Map A will be history audit records store in OPM as customer tracing in the future, Map B not replace Map A (Map A and Map B will store in OPM at the same time.)

6、Require base on the No. 5 to add below feature:

i.Add manually batch scanning device feature (Add batch scanning and save as feature in layer topology in every time scanning)

Note: Our experience tells us that we have 3000 devices, need to auto-discovery scan, but impossible finished at once.
As usual, OPM auto-discovery scan 300 devices every time, if over this number will make OS stuck, so need to take several times auto-discovery scanning and generate the new topo map in OPM (the first time auto-discovery scanning generate topo map can be saved).

ii.Add customize schedule scan Incremental topology basic on the original map and generate a new L1/L2 network map where use another color to recognize the new scanned devices. (remain the original map not to change content)

All client want to know the further result of this demand, they all buy our product of OPM and need this function. Hope to see the respond soon.

Thanks.
