Import SSL Cert from Comodo - .pfx

Import SSL Cert from Comodo - .pfx

I've been trying to get a cert working for ssl on our manage engine client for a couple of days now. We have a pre-existing cert with comodo so we decided to use that. Unfortunately the cert we were given was a .pfx which doesn't seem to be compatible with your keystone tools, we manage to export a  x.509 .crt file on a server using mmc and the certificate manager. However when i use the recommended comodo lines from the SSl page in self service i'm able to create the keystone however when i edit the server.xml file and try to start the server again i get nothing. Pretty much a blank screen as if the server isn't even there :p connection error etc.

I've checked the server.xml file i'm sure i'm entering the selfservice.keystone and the correct password. Only thing i can think of is that it doesn't like the .crt however i can't find away to convert it to a .cer *shrugs* any ideas?
