IMAP Disabled

Our SDP v7 Enterprise Edition is using MS Exchange with SMTP enabled but POP/IMAP disabled due to security policies.
Can you give me what features do I lose with this setup?
If there is a workaround for a POP/IMAP disabled Exchange server please let me know.
I have been requesting webex for quite anumber of days now as I also have some security concerns on the scanning.
