Here is the business case.

We get a new system, image it, install the EC UEM Agent and send it out to a user. After some time that system comes back and to clean it up before giving it to another user we image it again. When the EC UEM Agent is re-installed the agent generates a new unique Machine identifier and even though no new hardware is involved EC thinks that this is a new system. 

Question

Can we capture something from this system like the LocalMachineUuid in the following registry key and import it into the same system prior to installing the UEM Agent so that EC knows that this is the same hardware?

EC and SDP are integrated so this would keep the SDP asset inventory clean as well.
