Apple has
recently reported
that a small percentage of their iPhone 7 devices might display a "No service" message in their status bar despite the availability of the network carrier. They've attributed this to a component failure in their devices' hardware. According to Apple, this error has affected those devices that were manufactured between September 2016 and February 2018, and were sold in China, Macao, Hong Kong, Japan and the U.S.
To compensate for this issue, Apple has decided to roll out a "Repair Program", wherein they repair the affected smartphone unit, free of charge.
How to identify affected devices?
