HTTP Status 404 -/ The requested resource is not avalable

Hello.

I am having a problem with a recent linux installation of SDP.
I was trying to configure HTTP to HTTPS redirection (to secure traffic to/from SDP) by following the instructions here. ( https://www.manageengine.com/products/service-desk/faq-general-modules.html#ssl2)

Prior to that I successfully changed the Web Server Port using the script
/ManageEngine/ServiceDesk/bin/changeWebServerPort.sh

The following was done.
  • Stopped servicedesk with /etc/init.d/servicedesk stop
    • Confirmed process ended, and SDP was not running
  • Input (as root user) sh changeWebServerPort.sh 80 http
    • SDP default port is 8080, wanted to change to 80 for easy end user access via URL
  • Started servicedesk with /etc/init.d/servicedesk start
    • Confirmed process started
    • Successfully browsed and logged into SDP on port 80
  • At this point is when I attempt to make changes to configure HTTP to HTTPS redirection.
  • Edit /ManageEngine/ServiceDesk/server/default/deploy/jbossweb-tomcat50.sar/server.xml
    • Edit line 13 as noted in instructions
    • Set varable redirectPort="443"
    • port="80" already in place.
    • Save file
  • Restart service desk with /etc/init.d/servicedesk start
  • Attempt to browse to designated URL (which always worked prior to this) and received the following error

  • I stopped the service and reverted the changes I made to server.xml
  • I restarted the service hoping that it would resolve the issue.
  • It did not.
Please advise on any troubleshooting steps I could try, or log files I could provide to help with this.
I cannot log into SDP at all so I cannot create a support file for you.
