HTTP Deployment Using Zip Files Does Not Work
Wondering if anyone out there has encountered this issue and found a solution. When I try to deploy an application that has been zipped, it fails every time and on every client. If I remove the setup executable from the zip file and deploy it then it works just fine. During the deployment I can see that the executable is properly unzipped but then it never installs the application. When looking in the dcsoftwaredeployment.log file on the client computer I see the following error message after the file is unzipped.
[ERROR] dcconfigUnhandledExceptionFilter : Updated DCCONFIG_CRASH successfully for machine Hive
I then see in the logs\Dump folder that it creates a dump file. The dump file seems to indicate some sort of virtual access issue for dcconfig.exe.
I've followed all of the instructions from this How-To guide
https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/deploy-software-file-upload.html and not had any luck. I've attached a screenshot of my test deployment for Notepad++ which I was just using to be able to do a quick and simple test. The application I would actually like to install contains several files and folders for the setup so I require being able to zip them.
Has the procedure for this changed at all or is this perhaps a bug? I am running build 10.0.82 of the application and the clients are Windows 10 Enterprise x64 v1703 and v1607 and I have tried completely disabling all anti-virus and anti-malware applications on the clients.
Thanks,
Roger
